Sony BMG spokesperson: We’re pleased to announce we are the final major music corporation to release electronic tracks without that pesky DRM! All you have to do is leave your house, go to a selected retail outlet, buy a special card there, go back to your house, scratch off the back of the card to find a code, go to our special MusicPass Web site, enter said code, and download one the 37 titles we have available, from Celine Dion to the Backstreet Boys!
Kid #1: Or, in the time it takes me to jump through all those hoops, I could just download all 37 of those albums off of Pirate Bay.

Reminds me of this – Zappa has the song “Valley girl”and a movie company came to him asking to use the name for a movie. The movie was a stupid comedy, picturing the Valley girl in the exact opposite light than Zappa intended originally. So he said “no!”, but they did the movie anyways (starring very young Nicolas Cage). Every time you make something that ends up being popular, someone will come trying to make money abusing the popularity. Sad, sad, money-driven society.
Yet another comedy

I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry
????? I had a lot to do last night and my only way out was to watch this movie. “I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry” is a pretty bad movie with a surprise – Dave Matthews stars in it as a gay store clerk. Very unconvincing role if you ask me.
I’d rate this movie 1 star (of 5), complete waste of time. Who needs more gay movies, who needs more “comedies”.
Chuck and Larry – when marketing research makes up for missing talent and ideas.
Dave Matthews – hold on to the guitar, man, that’s what you’re good at

Just found this service ivoon.com
They let you upload music or search other people’s music and create a playlist. The selection they have on is very, very limited but I did manage to create a playlist for your listening pleasure while on this blog, it’s added as a “badge” to the sidebar.
Sweet, I wonder how legal it is, but still…
Please!
Who likes Foo Fighters anyway? If you like Nirvana, no way you’re going to stand Foo
When I listen to online radios they’ll always play Foo Fighters when I try “Pearl Jam” similar artist radios or alternative or something. These online radios take listeners preferences to come up with artist similarities, so the more we all ban Foo Fighters, the less they’ll show up in the future. Think of it as a service to our kids
So people, when you come across Foo Fighters, please ban them, all it takes is a click. Thanks!

In case you don’t believe and think that News might be larger than Music, here’s a screenshot of the source code that shows Music is indeed larger.

Or as Zappa puts it:
Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not truth. Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love. Love is not music. Music is THE BEST…
